Miles Capers injury update: Vanderbilt EDGE hospitalized, per SEC Network
The Vanderbilt-Kentucky game on Saturday night took a very serious turn, when Commodores EDGE rusher Miles Capers was down on the field after a scary helmet to helmet hit. Capers was down on the field for several minutes, before the medical staff from both teams tended to him on the field in Lexington. The stretcher and the spine board were both brought out onto the field.
Eventually Capers was loaded onto the stretcher and wheeled out of the stadium. Several minutes later, Cole Cubelic of the SEC Network updated his status on two different occasions. “I got an update from the Vanderbilt medical staff. He’s at UK Hospital. He is stable. He will undergo testing…” Cubelic explained.
Shortly after he was wheeled out of the stadium. “Went into the tunnel. Was loaded into the ambulance. His family joined him there where he will be taken to UK Hospital for further evaluation,” Cubelic noted.
