June has become a heavy commitment month for Auburn football and all of college football.
Multiple players will essentially come off of the board and pledge to a school. That, of course, means there will be a de-commitment season, but commitments are still important: it means someone wants to claim their spot at a school.
I currently have five RPM predictions in for Auburn:
LB, Joseph Phillips: 60% confidence, 2/14/23LB, Demarcus Riddick: 60% confidence, 3/8/23LB, D’Angelo Barber: 60% confidence, 3/8/23OT, Reese Baker: 65% confidence, 5/2/23DL, Malik Blocton: 65% confidence, 5/24/23
There are a few picks I’m thinking about making. There are reasons why I would make the pick for the Tigers, and reasons why I would not.
With June official visits in full swing, it is about time to make some decisions one way or the other.
Here are the recruits I featured in Vol. 1:
4-star LB – Bradley Shaw, Hoover (Ala.)4-star OL – Caleb Holmes, Fairburn (Ga.) Creekside4-star DB – Kensley Faustin, Naples (Fla.)3-star DB – Christian Peterson, Atlanta (Ga.) Westlake3-star LB – Wyatt Simmons, Searcy (Ark.) Harding Academy
OL – Kahlil House, Warner Robins (Ga.) Houston County
Why I might make the prediction: House earned his offer during Auburn Elite Camp on Thursday. It is an offer that made sense after a few visits in the spring and some back and forth from Auburn on whether or not to do so. Seeing him camp in person was enough for offensive line coach Jake Thornton. Now, an official visit will happen soon. Auburn is more than likely the leader for House.
Why I might not make the prediction: There are so many names on the offensive line board right now. Not only are there names, there are official visits set from multiple highly-sought after offensive linemen. Is House going to have a spot if the Tigers have some success with these priority offensive linemen? That’s what we don’t know as of today.
WR – Bryce Cain, Mobile (Ala.) Baker
Why I might make the prediction: Cain says publicly that Ole Miss is his leader. However, if Auburn were to push while he is on campus over the weekend, it could be game over. There are a few sources who think that could happen. If that seems to be the case, it will be a no-brainer to make the pick for the Tigers.
Why I might not make the prediction: There are other options at the same position: slot receiver. Those other options have been around campus and will be on campus around the same time as Cain. Would Auburn take every option? Probably not. There will be some picking and choosing to be done more than likely. Who comes out on top?
WR – Mario Craver, Pinson (Ala.) Clay-Chalkville
Why I might make the prediction: Craver has been on the Auburn board for a while now. After seeing him interact with coaches, seeing him put on a show of athleticism, and what he had to say following the visit, I feel pretty confident he ends up in the class as of right now.

RB – Alvin Henderson, Elba (Ala.)
Why I might make the prediction: I think the importance of Henderson being in the Tigers’ 2025 class has been clearly defined for him over and over. That is a good thing. The relationship with Cadillac Williams is important here. Also, Alabama has picked up a commitment from a 2025 running back in Anthony Turbo Rogers. It was thought that Alabama was some of the main competition for Henderson, and could still be, but I like where the Tigers are sitting for now.
Why I might not make the prediction: Henderson will be one of the most heavily pursued running backs in the class of 2025. Actually, he already is. Georgia, Florida State, and Ole Miss have all done well in recruiting him so far. He’s certainly going to hear each school and has plenty of interest in each.
