Jermari Harris playing some of his best football

After losing Cooper DeJean to the NFL Draft, the question for the Iowa secondary coming into the season was, who is going to be the next high-level corner for the Hawkeyes. Through five games, the answer has without a doubt been Jermari Harris. The grad senior from Chicago has totaled 13 tackles, five passes broken up and two interceptions. Per Pro Football Focus, Harris leads the country in both overall grade (90.5) and coverage grade (90.8). His play has been crucial for the Iowa secondary and their 93.3 coverage grade as a group is tied with Texas for the best in the country.

Jermari Harris met with the media on Tuesday, and he talked about the team striving to put together a full, 60-minute effort against Washington, how he would evaluate his play this season, as well as helping some of the younger defensive backs.
