Chris Livingston cancels remaining NBA Draft workouts

Chris Livingston is the latest one-and-done for Kentucky basketball. Despite an up-and-down season that didn’t produce great numbers, the Ohio native decided to remain in the 2023 NBA Draft at the deadline. That could end up being a wise decision on draft night.

NBA Insider Shams Charania is reporting that Chris Livingston has called off the remaining seven draft workouts he had scheduled with NBA organizations. That likely means that the forward has received a draft guarantee from an NBA franchise.

Sources: Kentucky’s Chris Livingston has cancelled all seven of his remaining workouts for the 2023 NBA Draft, fueling belief that he’s received a draft promise from a team.

The former five-star recruit averaged 6.3 points and 4.2 rebounds in 22.4 minutes per contest in his only season in Lexington. Livingston shot 42.9 percent from the field on 5.4 field goal attempts per game with a 30.5 percent mark from three-point range and a 72.2 percent mark at the charity stripe. In 26 starts, Livingston played a key role for Kentucky down the stretch and recorded 11 points and seven rebounds in his final collegiate game.

The wing prospect will begin his professional basketball journey soon. Chris Livingston could likely fall into the second round but should receive a two-way contract from an NBA team since a guarantee appears to have been received by the Klutch Sports client. We will all find out soon where Livingston lands when the 2023 NBA Draft takes place on June 22.
