Dylan Stewart penalized for shooting imaginary gun at Jaxson Dart after sack

In the third quarter of Saturday’s game against Ole Miss, Dylan Stewart made a huge play when he sacked Jaxson Dart. As he celebrated, he appeared to act as if he was shooting an imaginary gun at the quarterback – and he was penalized for it.

The play would’ve made it an Ole Miss fourth down, but the 15-yard penalty extended the drive. The Rebels eventually got a 44-yard field goal from Caden Davis to extend their lead to 27-3 over South Carolina as the fourth quarter approached.

It was Stewart’s third tackle of the day and his first sack. He continues to make an instant impact as a freshman on the South Carolina defense, entering Saturday second on the team in sacks.

Ole Miss took a commanding lead in the first half, jumping out in front 24-3 by halftime. Davis’ field goal extended the lead to 27-3, which held as the fourth quarter began in Columbia Saturday evening.
