Class of 2025 No. 3 QB Antwann Hill camps at Auburn, will return in fall

Class of 2025 No. 3 QB Antwann Hill camps at Auburn, will return in fall

Houston County (Ga.) junior quarterback Antwann Hill led his high school team Thursday at Auburn football’s 7-on-7 team camp.

Hill, who is ranked the No. 3 quarterback in the 2025 class, was pleased with his and the team’s performance.

“Everything went good,” he told Auburn Live’s Cole Pinkston. “We had a couple of dropped balls and blown coverages. Overall, I thought we did good as a team.

“I thought I performed well. I wish I could have a couple balls back, but I mean, I felt like I competed good against some good competition.”

Hill reportedly had a great day throwing the long ball.

“We always work on that,” he said. “We are building chemistry and I’m getting timing down with the receivers every day.”

Auburn coaches kept a close eye on Hill. Offensive coordinator Philip Montgomery, senior analyst Jesse Stone and even Hugh Freeze were on hand.

“They said they really want to get me back up here,” he said. “They say I’m a high priority on their recruiting board. That just shows me they care a lot about me. They think I can change their program, get it back to where it needs to be.”

Auburn has some work to do to get back into contention for Hill. He lists Clemson, Alabama, North Carolina and TCU has schools of interest.

“(Me and Auburn) aren’t in a bad position,” he said. “I just need to start back communicating with them more consistently. Earlier me and Coach Montgomery stayed on it, but it has fallen off. We are about to start back building our relationship again. I’ll try to get back down here to Auburn, probably in the fall for a game.”

Hill’s scouting summary from On3’s Charles Power

“Antwann Hill turned in a strong outing in a 28-8 win over defending state champ, Warner Robins (Ga.) High. The sophomore signal caller completed 27 of 38 passes for 317 yards and two scores in the cross-town rivalry game. Hill showed impressive downfield arm strength, hitting a deep ball that traveled at least 50 yards in the air. That throw didn’t appear to be an aberration, as he continued to drive the ball to the second and third levels of the defense from within the pocket. Hill is off to a fast start, completing over 75 percent of his passes for 1,501 yards and 15 touchdowns to just two interceptions while leading his Warner Robins (Ga.) Houston County team to a 5-0 record.”
