Brandin Cooks injury update: Reported details emerge surrounding Cowboys WR’s infected knee

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Brandin Cooks suffered a knee injury in the game against the New York Giants, and more details have been revealed. According to Jane Slater of the NFL Network, the Cowboys were aware of the injections that Cooks was undergoing after the Giants game. The knee got infected, and when Cooks returned to Dallas, Dan Cooper (the team doctor) scoped the knee to clean out the infection and smooth out the meniscus issue.

“Brandin should feel great in 1-3 weeks,” the source told Slater. It was reported that Cooks could miss multiple weeks due to the injured knee. He is not expected to play on Sunday when the Cowboys face the Pittsburgh Steelers.
