Jayden Daniels finds OT Trent Scott for big man score, first NFL passing touchdown
Washington Commanders (1-1) rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels threw his first career NFL touchdown in Monday’s Week 3 road contest against the Cincinnati Bengals (0-2).
If you were wondering which Commanders skill player was on the receiving end of Daniels’ first touchdown pass, the answer is none of them. Daniels instead connected with backup right tackle Trent Scott for the #bigmanscore. The third quarter touchdown extended Washington’s lead to 28-13.
While hardly the way he likely envisioned it go down, Daniels has to be elated to have finally gotten into the end zone through the air. Now, he may not be able to keep the ball as the chances Scott scores again are low, but it’s a special moment nonetheless for the 2024 No. 2 overall pick out of LSU.

Prior to Monday’s game, Daniels had found the end zone twice with his legs. He added another rushing score in the first quarter against Cincinnati, now accounting for four total touchdowns this season.
