*** Top 100 2025 Cleveland (Ohio) Villa Angela – St Joseph running back Bo Jackson has told The Wolverine that he’ll make his first-ever visit to Michigan on Wednesday and camp in front of the coaching staff. Jackson, who’s the No. 3 ranked sophomore prospect in the state of Ohio, according to On3, will make the drive to Ann Arbor exactly two weeks after he publicly reported an offer from area recruiter Steve Clinkscale. Right after the announcement in late-Mary, Jackson said that he plans to talk to running backs coach Mike Hart as soon as he gets to campus. Now, he’ll be able to get his first look on the develop of Michigan’s running backs and the work done by Blake Corum and Donovan Edwards to become household names.
*** Top 100 Cincinnati (Ohio) Archbishop Moeller running back and Michigan commit Jordan Marshall isn’t sure if he’ll compete alongside the other visitors Wednesday but he did tell The Wolverine of his intentions to return that day for an unofficial visit. Committing to U-M back in March, Marshall also said that he’ll be with a majority of the 2024 pledges on June 16th and take his scheduled official visit. Originally, Marshall was going to come back to campus this weekend but now that he’s committed, the No. 76 ranked junior recruit in the country isn’t going to any other school this month.
*** Michigan is also set to bring in rising 2025 Westerville (Ohio) North interior offensive lineman Jake Cook for the team-hosted camp on Wednesday. Cook previously visited U-M back in March when he and his family took in a spring camp practice. Both Steve Clinkscale and offensive line coach Sherrone Moore have had Cook on their radar for much of the offseason with the 6-foot-5, 305-pounder excited to showcase his progress in a live setting. Cook, who took part in the Under Armour Next+ Camp Series in Columbus this past month, holds offers from much of the MAC schools, along with Marshall, UNLV and UMass.
*** An intriguing in-state 2025 recruit who doesn’t have a Michigan offer but has multiple Power 5 programs in the mix and is working out in Ann Arbor on Wednesday is three-star Clinton Township (Mich.) Chippewa Valley wide receiver DeShaun Lanier. The No. 9 overall prospect in the state of Michigan, according to On3, has been to U-M a total of five times since June of 2021. His latest appearance took place for the Illinois game last season. Ole Miss, Pitt, Louisville and West Virginia are showing early interest for Lanier.
*** After standout performances at the EMU Midweek MACtion Camp and Wayne State Satellite Camp last week, three-star 2025 Orchard Lake (Mich.) St. Mary’s Prep wide receiver Antwon Thomas is going to camp again with Michigan next week and work closely next to wide receivers coach Ron Bellamy. Thomas has blown up on the recruiting trail this offseason as Penn State became the first Big Ten school to enter the mix for him.
