Deion Sanders addresses viral Colorado State comments: ‘I’m not gonna take that bait’
Colorado head coach Deion Sanders isn’t interested in getting into a war of words ahead of Saturday’s rivalry matchup with Colorado State.
Despite losing to the Buffs 43-35 in overtime last season, Rams quarterback Brayden Fowler and wide receiver Tory Horton recently had some choice words ahead of Saturday’s rivalry game.
“We owe them one,” Horton said. “And that’s something that’s been sitting on everybody’s mind since we came back from break. … we should have murdered them guys.”
Added Fowler: “At the end of the day, you have to line up 11 guys against our 11 guys, and we’ll find out who wants it more. We’ll see how far Instagram followers gets them.”

Deion Sanders responded during his coaches show on Thursday.
“It makes it personal again. It makes you think like, ‘Oh, OK.’ Because you analyze it as an adult. Kids don’t. They just get mad,” Sanders explained. “You analyze it as an adult and you say, ‘OK, I see why you said that.’ And you know what’s behind it. But you try to understand that those are kids. Don’t do it.
“You want to do it. … So I’m not going to do it. I’m not going to take that bait. That’s too easy.”
