NC State Newsstand: Wolfpack game at Clemson kickoff time set
NC State, which has its sights set on an ACC Championship, knows when its quest for the conference crown will begin. The Wolfpack’s league opener at Clemson will kick off at noon on ABC inside the Tigers’ Memorial Stadium on Sept. 21.
The Wolfpack has won two of the last three meetings against the Tigers, including a 24-17 victory inside Carter-Finley Stadium a year ago. But even though NC State has been on the winning side of the series, as of late, it has been more than two decades since the Wolfpack won at Clemson.
NC State’s last win over Clemson outside of Raleigh came in a 38-6 domination victory in 2002. T.A. McLendon rushed for 178 yards and two touchdowns to help pace NC State over Clemson in its most recent road victory.
If the Wolfpack wants to play at Bank of America Stadium at the beginning of December, a win at Clemson would be the ideal start. If not, it could be an uphill battle to finish in the top two of the league to play for the ACC title.
But before NC State makes the trek to Clemson, it will host Louisiana Tech this weekend at Carter-Finley Stadium. Kickoff is set for noon on the ACC Network.
