Michigan State releases availability report vs. Maryland

Michigan State will be without one of its starting offensive linemen on Saturday against Maryland, according to the Spartans’ availability report. Kristian Phillips has been ruled out for the matchup.
Phillips shined against Florida Atlantic last week, but is one of six Spartans players ruled out for Week 2. Gavin Broscius is likely to get looks at right guard in his place.
Three Michigan State players are on the report and dealing with long-term injuries, head coach Jonathan Smith said earlier this week. That includes Dillon Tatum, who could be out for the year.
On the Maryland side, MJ Morris will not suit up for the Terrapins after leaving with an injury last week. The Terps will also be without tight end Preston Howard, according to the availability report.
