Ohio State has only played Western Michigan once before. The Buckeyes beat the Broncos 38-12 in 2015, a year when they were flooded with national title aspirations and fell short.

The Buckeyes are faced with more national title aspirations this season, that’s the standard in Columbus. With a mix of veterans and young faces, Ohio State (1-0) will look for its second of the season.

With this being the second game between the two programs, it doesn’t seem entirely accurate to call it a ‘series’ but we have found a fun fact about Western Michigan head coach Lance Taylor.

The Broncos’ second-year head coach has coached several of the NFL’s best and brightest over the years. Christian McCaffrey, D.J. Moore, Curtis Samuel and Kyren Williams are a select few of the guys coached by Taylor.
