Report: Mack Brown confirms Max Johnson injury is to hip, evaluated in Minneapolis hospital
Mack Brown has provided an update on North Carolina quarterbacked Max Johnson following his injury suffered against Minnesota on Thursday evening.
The Tar Heels leader confirmed Johnson’s injury was to his hip, not his knee or leg like many believed, and he’s being evaluated at a Minneapolis hospital following North Carolina’s victory over the Golden Gophers, per Adam Smith of Inside Carolina.
“UNC coach Mack Brown tells me injured QB Max Johnson’s injury is a hip injury, not his knee,” Smith wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter. “Johnson has been taken to a local hospital here in Minneapolis, and the Tar Heels will have to figure out if he’ll travel back to Chapel Hill with the team or stay overnight.”
