Q: Who is the top Kansas State football recruiting target?

Drew: The top prospect on the Kansas State recruiting board is a tight race between three players. It is likely one of Grant Brix, Michael Boganowski or Kaedin Massey. While it sounds like I’m dodging the question, the answer it is hard to determine.

All three have been to Manhattan at least five times and have official visits lined up in June.

K-State was Brix’s first offer last Summer, and he has blown up since hitting the stage. He has added many Power Five suitors and developed into a top 100 player according to On3. Despite that, he has given Kansas State an honest look and places immense value on them being the first to extend him a scholarship.

His official visit to K-State will be on June 16.

Boganowski’s first offer was also from Kansas State. The Wildcats offered the Junction City product when he visited for a game. There has been strong mutual interest between the two sides since the offer arrived. The top player in Kansas is expected to take his official visit on June 23.

Remember, his father played for K-State linebackers coach Steve Stanard at New Mexico State and nearly committed to Kansas State out of high school. However, the younger Boganowski will likely choose between the Wildcats and Oklahoma.

K-State was Massey’s third offer, but the Wildcats have made him a priority for several months. The Lyndon native has seen his recruitment heat up after continuing to impress those that watch him. He has announced a top six of Michigan State, Ole Miss, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Kansas and Kansas State.

His official visit to K-State is also scheduled for June 23, and it will be his sixth time in The Little Apple.
