Duke slugger MJ Metz belts 3 home runs in regional rout of UNC-Wilmington

Every player wants to bring their best to the table once the postseason arrives. However, it’s hard to imagine that anyone is going to play much better than Duke’s MJ Metz on the opening day of the NCAA Tournament.

Metz has gone the distance three times for the Blue Devils in the first seven innings of their matchup against UNC Wilmington. It’s even more impressive considering that he’s done it in three straight at-bats against the Seahawks.

Metz has now gone from 13 home runs on his season to 16 over the span of a single game.

The Duke graduate student is absolutely pouring it on to UNCW right now with his team now up 12-3 as they head to the eighth inning.
