Latest on elite Miami recruits at On3 NIL Elite Series: Hurricanes trending for multiple five-star targets

More than two dozen of the country’s top recruits are spending several days this week at the On3 NIL Elite Series presented by Mizuno, including multiple priority 2024 Miami targets.

On3’s Chad Simmons has been in attendance to get the latest on some of the country’s top prospects, including Five-Star Plus+ receiver Jeremiah Smith, Five-Star Plus+ EDGE Colin Simmons, five-star cornerback Ellis Robinson and five-star EDGE Dylan Stewart, among others.

Here’s what On3 is reporting this week on some of Miami’s top targets.

Five-Star Plus+ WR Jeremiah Smith | Ohio State commit

Georgia is viewed as a threat to flip Smith, the No. 2 overall prospect in the class, but Miami is remaining in the picture, On3 reported. He’ll take an official visit to Coral Gables June 21, although it is now reported that Florida appears to be in a better position than the Miami among the in-state trio of the Gators, Hurricanes and Florida State.

Five-Star Plus+ EDGE Colin Simmons

Miami has captured the five-star recruit’s attention, although On3 reports Texas is in the best position to land Simmons. The Hurricanes are one of three programs Simmons will visit this month along with Oregon (June 16-18) and Texas (June 23-25). He will take his official visit to Coral Gables June 9-11 after attending Miami’s spring game.

5-star CB Ellis Robinson IV | Georgia commit

On3 reports that Miami has emerged as the biggest threat to Georgia to flip Robinson, and the Hurricanes will get him back to campus again for an official visit June 9. However, the Bulldogs are still in a good position, On3 reported, and Robinson recently locked in his official visit with Georgia for June 2-4.

5-star EDGE Dylan Stewart

Chad Simmons said he likes the position Miami and South Carolina are in best to land Stewart, although his recruitment could have multiple twists and turns to the end and may not be decided until December. He’ll be part of Miami’s massive June 9 official visitor weekend.

5-star WR Ryan Wingo

Simmons reported Wingo is planning to take an official visit to Miami during the season and the Hurricanes are trending up for the five-star. Miami quickly climbed for the nation’s No. 22 overall prospect after bringing him to campus May 6.

4-star RB Jerrick Gibson

Texas is still the frontrunner for Gibson, On3 reported, but Miami has become a threat to land the top running back in the class. He too will take an official visit to Miami June 9.

4-star LB Sterling Dixon | Alabama commit

Despite his Alabama commitment and SEC buzz, Dixon will take an official visit to Miami June 9. LSU is viewed as the biggest threat to Alabama at the moment, but he’ll take his first visit to Coral Gables in the coming weeks.
