2025 4-star Texas TE Jack VanDorselaer to make first trip to USC for multi-day visit

Just over one month ago, USC extended an offer to 2025 Southlake (Tex.) Carroll four-star tight end Jack VanDorselaer, the No. 2 tight end in the Lone Star State.

Now, with the relationship between the two sides progressing, VanDoreselaer has announced he will take a multi-day visit to USC in June.

The dates will run June 13th and 14th.

VanDorselaer is ranked as the No. 287 overall prospect and No. 17 tight end in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is the No. 50 prospect in Texas. 

Thoughts on VanDorselaer

I have not seen a ton of VanDorselaer but what I do know is he is a dominant blocker. Most tight ends in high school pick up attention for the receiving skills and production in the stat sheets. For VanDorselaer, I think his popularity comes from his work in the trenches. And I believe his ability to do so projects to the next level.

I do think the playmaking is there as well but will be something that develops with time and reps. Southlake Carroll, a Texas powerhouse, has fielded some potent offenses with some very talented tight ends and this appears to be the next one in line.

The 6-foot-4, 225 pound playmaker currently holds 24 offers. The On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine currently has Baylor as a slight favorite to land a commitment from VanDorselaer at 31.3%. Texas comes in at second place at 27.4%.

The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
