Recruiting summary
The recruitment for Fairfield, Ohio safety Noah King was a pretty quick one. Kansas State offered King July 3 during the dead period. Shortly after K-State worked on getting the Ohio native to campus for a visit. King visited Kansas State on July 24-26 unofficially. He also camped at the final camp of the summer on July 25th.
Shortly after his visit, the senior safety committed to K-State on July 29th. King also held offers from Kentucky and Nebraska during the summer after camping at each school. However, the recruitment with those schools never got off the ground after that.
Evaluation of Kansas State target
Kansas State has a type when it comes to safeties. Joe Klanderman wants long, rangy athletes who can run in the secondary. Guess what? King is exactly that. The senior is 6-feet-3-inches and runs a laser-timed 4.4 40-yard dash. It is also important to note that King was just 6-feet-1-inch last season, so he has even grown since the fall.
I was also impressed with his physicality during the K-State camp. He is not afraid to come in and hit and hit with authority. King also played a majority of his junior season at corner instead of safety. With that, he has advanced coverage skills and plays the ball well when it is in the air. He also possesses soft hands and can come down with acrobatic catches.
King is far from a finished product. In fact, he may be the most raw out of the four safety commits in the Kansas State 2025 class. However, he probably holds the highest ceiling because of his combination of size and speed.
Prediction
No prediction is needed. King has already committed to K-State.
