Top-100 WR prospect rising up Georgia’s board moving into the fall

Top-100 WR prospect rising up Georgia’s board moving into the fall

Georgia is on its way to signing another top-three recruiting class this December. Six top-100 prospects are already committed to the Bulldogs and multiple elite targets are still on the board heading into the fall.

There’s a new name for the Dawgs faithful to know heading into the fall recruiting swing, too.

Not only is West Jordan (Utah) Corner Canyon four-star wide receiver Jerome Myles the No. 1 player in Utah, but he’s also quietly the No. 58 overall prospect and No. 10 WR in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

On June 24, Myles backed off of his commitment to Ole Miss. After keeping things wide open for a little over a month, the blue-chipper dropped a revamped top 10 schools list last week. That list included Georgia — one of the many programs who have offered Myles following his decommitment this summer.

The recruitment of Myles has not been as publicized nearly as much as other big-time pass-catchers’ have this cycle, but there is clear interest from some of the top programs in the nation. The likes of Michigan, Auburn, USC, Ohio State and Miami — most of which didn’t offer until this summer — also made his top 10.

In addition to an April official visit to Ole Miss, Myles has also logged OVs to Texas A&M and Utah thus far. Both the Aggies and Utes also cracked his list. Up next for the 6-foot-3, 215-pounder could be visits this fall, and according to Georgia insider Rusty Mansell, the Bulldogs will look to land a OV from Myles later this year.

“I definitely think it’s a new offer, that Georgia’s had this young man on their board awhile. You go through the summer evaluation period and look at that, if they can get him on campus, it sounds like he’s gonna take an official visit to Georgia during the season,” Mansell said on ‘The Inside Scoop’ this week.

Myles could be a big final piece to Georgia’s 2025 class

Currently the No. 2 uncommitted wide receiver in the 2025 cycle, Myles is about as coveted as they come entering the fall. He took an unofficial visit to Michigan at the end of July and has also been linked to visiting multiple other contenders in the future.

For Georgia, Myles could provide one of the final punches needed to propel the 2025 class over the top. Three receivers are currently in the Bulldogs’ class, as of Aug. 12: Geneva (Ill.) Community four-star Talyn Taylor, Riverview (Fla.) Armwood four-star Tyler Williams and Athens (Ga.) North Oconee three-star Landon Roldan.

The next step for Georgia is managing to get Myles down to Athens from Utah, a 1,630-mile trek. The Dawgs will be a team to watch for the coveted prospect moving forward.

“I know Georgia wants to sign at least one more wide receiver in this class, possibly two. I think when you offer someone from Utah, you’ve got to think ‘hey, this is for real.’ They’ve got to get him on campus first, but I think is a name for Georgia fans to know and we’ll just see where it goes from there,” Mansell said.
