3-Star OT Jayden Clark Wants to Return to Kentucky for Official Visit This Fall

Jayden Clark recently made his way to Kentucky for an unofficial visit. Now, he’s planning to return in the fall.

The 6-foot-5, 250-pound offensive tackle from Northmont (Clayton, OH) took an unofficial visit to Kentucky on July 27 alongside 2026 Northmont QB Bryce Staggs. Clark told KSR+ that the visit was “great.”

“We toured the facility a little bit, looked at the field, and talked to a couple of players who happened to be there even though it was an off day,” Clark said. “It was more of a time to get closer to Coach Wolf [Eric Wolford] and get familiar with the campus, area, and facilities. I loved it.”

Clark was most impressed by the surrounding area and the people he met while on his visit. He called it a “really good community.”

“There are a lot of good and nice people there,” he said. “I have a good relationship with the coaches and players. It seems like a really good community.”

Clark said he “definitely” plans to return to Kentucky in the fall for an official visit. He spoke with the staff about a return trip but hasn’t decided on an exact date.

“I would definitely be more of an interior [lineman] at Kentucky, but he said he might also use me as a right tackle,” Clark said. “He believes I can play all of that. I definitely think he could develop me to be anything, honestly.”

Clark is high school teammates with four-star Kentucky EDGE commit Cedric Works. He’s also friends with three-star offensive tackle commits Bryan Auguste and Jermiel Atkins.

“They’re friends of mine,” he said. “They understand everybody is making their decisions right now and trying to figure out everything. They’ve definitely mentioned Kentucky a few times.”

His Wider Recruitment

Jayden Clark has seen his recruitment slow down a little bit during the dead period but expects it to pick back up once the fall season starts. His only official visit so far was to Cincinnati, but they’re no longer heavily involved.

“I’m taking everything day by day and looking forward to taking OVs during the season,” Clark said.

Clark is still keeping his visits “up in the air,” but named three schools that are working hard to get him on campus: Kentucky, West Virginia, and Boston College.

“Right now, I’m leaving it up in the air because a lot of schools want to see my early-season film,” he said. “Once I get that film out, we’ll probably talk more about OVs.”

After Clark takes official visits in the fall, he’ll start to look towards a commitment. That will be sometime during the season.

“I’m assuming I’ll make my final decision either mid-season or late in the season, depending on how everything goes,” he said. “I’ll most likely be enrolling in June.”

Clark is considering several factors in his decision. Most notably, he’s looking at academics, the community, his relationship with the coaches, and his own personal development.

Three-star offensive tackle Jayden Clark of Clayton (OH) Northmont is the nation’s No. 1,057 overall prospect, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. On3 ranks Clark as the No. 59 offensive tackle and the No. 28 player in Ohio.

“Right now, I’ve been working on a lot that I didn’t get to show last year,” Clark said. “I’ve been working on a lot of run-blocking techniques and being more aggressive at the point of attack, especially finishing. I’ve also been working on my speed in my pass sets, so that’s also gotten better. My hands have also gotten better.”

Clark continues to work on improving his hands. He believes he’ll fit in any scheme at the college level.

“Kentucky is looking really good right now. I might be there,” he said.
