Four-star OL Liam Andrews includes Buckeyes in top 8
Ohio State offensive line coach Justin Frye continues to put in work on the recruiting trail.
No, the second-year offensive line coach didn’t land his fifth commit of the cycle, but he is keeping the Buckeyes in the race for an elite four-star offensive lineman.
Four-star interior player Liam Andrews, a product of the Dexter School (Brookline, Massachusetts) has narrowed his list to eight schools.
The 6-foot-5, 270-pound Andrews is down to the following schools: Penn State, Ohio State, Wisconsin, Florida, South Carolina, LSU, Miami, and Oklahoma.
Andrews, who ranks as the No. 77 player in the On3 Industry Ranking and is the No. 1 interior offensive lineman in the country, had this to say about Ohio State when he trimmed the list to eight schools.
“Ohio State has been great at producing NFL talent and is consistently in the national football playoffs,” he told On3’s Hayes Fawcett. “I have a good relationship with the staff there as well.”
Justin Frye and the Buckeyes already have four offensive linemen committed in the class of 2024. Liam Andrews keeping them in the battle for his pledge is certainly a positive sign toward potentially landing a fifth.

Ohio State enters this fall with question marks at quarterback, but they’re all good questions and issues to have. Lettermen Row is wrapping up off its first position week of the summer with three predictions for the revamped and reloaded Ohio State quarterback room.

ICYMI: Buckeyes highly-anticipated matchup at Notre Dame set for primetime kickoff
Another Ohio State-Notre Dame night game is on tap. The Buckeyes will play under the lights against the Fighting Irish for the second year in a row, this time rounding out the home-and-home series in South Bend.
The Sept. 23 game is scheduled for a 7:30 p.m. kickoff. NBC and Peacock, the new Big Ten partner, will have the broadcast. This the third Buckeyes game time to be announced so far, and the second involving an NBC primetime slot. Ohio State is also slated to host Michigan State on Nov. 11 at 7:30 p.m on NBC.
Ohio State defeated Notre Dame, 21-10, in last year’s season opener, and the Irish haven’t beaten the Buckeyes since 1936.
