Solomon Farrell likes what he’s seen from Purdue.
The 2024 safety from Princeton High in Cincinnati is well aware of the defensive acumen of Purdue coach Ryan Walters, who has developed some good defensive backs during his coaching tenure.
“I like what I hear and have seen from Purdue,” said Farrell, who has yet visit Purdue. “I like how they play. I liked how they played against Michigan (in the Big Ten title game).”
The 6-3, 205-pound Farrell recently released a list of six schools he plans to camp at: Louisville, Michigan State, Illinois, Wake Forest and Purdue, where he’ll be on June 4.
Farrell likes to go back and watch video of former Ravens standout safety Ed Reed, a player he hopes to emulate.
“I need to get better at opening and turning and making a play on the ball,” he said. “My mental aspect of the game is what I excel at.”
Farrell has 13 offers, including from the likes of Toledo, West Virginia, Indiana, Bowling Green, Kent State and Colorado State. He hopes to pick a school by the end of the summer.
