Four-star OT Felix Ojo talks Ohio State, Justin Frye

COLUMBUS – Ohio State offensive line coach Justin Frye offered several 2026 offensive linemen at camp this summer including four-star Mansfield (Texas) Lake ridge offensive tackle Felix Ojo.

Ojo, the No. 215 overall prospect in the On3 Industry Rankings, held dozens of Power Four scholarship offers prior to camping in Columbus but still made the trip to learn more about Ohio State.

“Really just Ohio State, the program that it is,” Ojo told Lettermen Row. “Knowing how good the coaches are over there and how much they’ve been pushing for me to make the trip down there. And not only that, just the way they run their offense and the players that they got there. I feel like Ohio State has been building a really good program. I just had to make the trip down.”

Another reason that Ojo wanted to camp at Ohio State was to work with Justin Frye.

“I feel like Coach Frye really knows what he’s doing. In particular, he’s more of a hands-on coach, which I like. And I feel like every single one of these drills correlates to the game of football because sometimes he goes to these camps and you’re just doing random drills that you feel like they’ll actually get you better.

“I feel like every single drill Coach Frye had me in really got me better and improved on my game.”

Ojo also enjoyed getting to tour the Woody Hayes Athletic Center and Ohio State’s campus after the camp.

“I feel like the facilities are great. The campus is really nice, I like the campus a lot. And just coach Frye as a person. He’s a really good person and a genuine person. And just talking to all the other coaches on the staff, I felt welcomed and at home. They were just treating my family right.”

Ojo and Justin Frye have stayed in consistent communication since he camped at Ohio State on June 13.

“I feel like my relationship with coach Frye and the rest of the coaching staff is going pretty good. After the camp they called me and said they love me a lot. They love my character. They love everything about me. Like I’m the top recruit for them. I feel like our relationship and everything has been building up pretty well.”

Texas leads for the in-state offensive lineman on the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine. Oklahoma, Alabama and SMU round out the top four schools for Ojo on the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine.
