Top-100 SG Bryce James reacts to father, LeBron, and brother, Bronny, playing in NBA together
Last month, USC guard Bronny James was selected in the second round of the NBA Draft by the Los Angeles Lakers.
Now, Bronny will get a shot to play professional basketball alongside his father and four-time NBA Finals MVP LeBron James.
Sierra Canyon’s Bryce James — Bronny’s younger brother — is the No. 71 overall prospect in the 2025 On3 150. On3’s Joe Tipton caught up with Bryce this week.
“From the cardiac arrest and all the difficulties that he’s had in his career in college, you know it’s amazing then seeing him play with his dad,” James said of his brother, Bronny.
But has Bryce gotten used to the idea of seeing both Bronny and his father in Purple and Gold?
“Not really,” James said. “It’s still crazy to think about, you know, just the two of them on the same court.”
Of all the things to look forward to when watching the pair play for the Lakers, Bryce James is anticipating the alley-oops.
“Really just, I’m waiting for them lobs, to be honest.”
Bryce James Scouting Summary
“Bryce James continues to get more comfortable in his player archetype. The son of LeBron James has a projectable frame with nice length. Where he shines is spreading the floor, knocking down shots from the corners. He will need to continue adding strength and tightening his handle, there is not much self-creation at this point.
“The jump shot is consistent, finding his balance points off movement or the catch. He has a quick and consistent release. Bryce’s game is different than his brother Bronny’s, who is a more point-of-attack guard. Bryce has found comfort playing in angles and off the ball.”
