Lincoln Riley pays tribute to Monte Kiffin, former USC assistant
One of the legendary defensive coaches in the game of football passed away this week. Monte Kiffin, former assistant with USC football, passed away. He spent time with countless other college football programs and an extensive amount of time in the National Football League as well. And on Friday evening, current USC head football coach Lincoln Riley decided to pay tribute to Monte Kiffin on his Twitter page. He also offered condolences to Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin, Monte Kiffin’s son.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the Kiffin family. Monte Kiffin was a legend in our game and will certainly be missed,” Riley said in the brief statement he issued.
