Newsstand: Notre Dame men’s basketball recruiting updates

When Washington D.C. Gonzaga center Christian Gurdak chose Virginia Tech over Notre Dame, the Irish missed on their first possible men’s basketball commitment in the 2025 cycle. Two more players in the class, though, included second-year head coach Micah Shrewsberry‘s program in their updates since.

First, Durham (N.C.) Southern forward Jackson Keith told the social media account League Ready that he plans to officially visit Notre Dame on Oct. 12. The Irish host Stanford in football at 3:30 p.m. ET that day.

Keith, 6-foot-5, is the No. 99 player and No. 24 small forward in the On3 Industry Ranking. He’s also the No. 6 player in the basketball-rich state of North Carolina. The On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine projects Keith to go to North Carolina State, and he told The Wolfpacker that he also hears from Georgetown, LSU and Virginia.

Second, Potomac (Md.) The Bullis School guard Adrien Stevens told On3 national basketball reporter Joe Tipton that he has the Irish in his top six. Stevens, the 2025 On3 Industry Ranking’s No. 151 player, No. 9 combo guard and No. 4 player in Maryland, is also considering Florida State, Georgetown, Marquette, Tennessee and Villanova.

“Notre Dame has been recruiting me for a while and I [have] a good relationship with Coach Shrewsberry and the rest of the staff,” Stevens told Tipton. “The way they play, his coaching style, and his experience is something I could see being beneficial for me in the future.”
