Daily communication has Florida battling UGA and Ohio State for 4-star TE

Being a 2026 prospect, 4-star athlete Heze “Superman” Kent is far off from making a college decision. It was roughly three weeks ago when coaches could start initiating contact.
One thing is for certain though: Kent now has a better idea of who wants him more than others. Over 30 scholarship offers are on the table, but some of them are making a noticeable push.
One of those programs is the University of Florida. The tight end target from Brunswick (Ga.) High says the Gators are one of two programs recruiting him the hardest, and to sweeten it up, they are currently a top option along with Georgia and Ohio State.
“On my list, they are No. 3,” Kent said of UF when speaking with Gators Online. “I love it. They make me feel at home even though I’m not committed or anything. They make me feel at home. It’s a good family base there.”
Kent, who was most recently in Gainesville on June 20, primarily speaks with tight ends coach Russ Callaway. That tight-knit relationship is a driving force in the Gators’ strong standing with him and was a top highlight during the visit last month.
“He calls me every day and is always checking on me every day to see what I did,” Kent said. “Also, he tells me to keep my head on the right track and everything. He just keeps me altogether.”
Heze Kent could return to Florida this month
To this point, the 6-foot-6, 245-pound Kent has visited the Florida Gators multiple times. Two of those experiences took place this calendar year, placing the Gators at No. 2 in the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine only behind in-state Georgia.
While itinerary changes would have to take place, the 4-star prospect says he could visit Billy Napier‘s program again before the end of summer.
“If I don’t go to Miami on the 27th, I will be heading to Florida,” said Kent.
According to the 2026 On300 rankings, Kent is the No. 7 athlete and No. 106 prospect overall.
Additional offers on the table include Alabama, LSU, Auburn, Florida State, Miami, Tennessee, USC, Michigan, Notre Dame, Texas and Ole Miss.
