2026 RB Brian Bonner recaps summer visit to Nebraska

Junior running back Brian Bonner visited Lincoln for an unofficial visit a week ago. The 6-foot-0, 180-pound running back from Santa Clarita (Calif.) Valencia High School is a four-star recruit in the 2026 class. Nebraska was the only school Bonner visited this summer, and he says he plans to return soon.

“The visit went great,” Bonner said. “The best part of the facility I saw was the recovery rooms. They have lots of ways they help the players recover after hard practices and games.”

Bonner had a great opportunity to meet with some of the Nebraska staff. He says that the Huskers have been doing a great job recruiting him up to this point.

“I met Coach Rhule and all the other staff on the visit. Coach Rhule was really nice to me.

“Coach Barthel, the running backs coach, has been keeping in touch with me a lot and recruiting me very well, which led me to visit Nebraska.”

During the visit, there was a chance to discuss the Nebraska offense with Bonner. He knows if he comes to Nebraska to play football he will have the opportunity to touch the football a lot.

“I think I fit the Nebraska offense style because they like to run the ball a lot,” Bonner said. “That’s what a running back looks for. They want an opportunity to run the football.”

Bonner only made one visit this summer, which was to Nebraska. He says that he plans to get back to Nebraska for a return visit

Bonner finished his sophomore season with 500 yards rushing, 457 yards receiving, and 274 return yards, which was good for 1,230 all purpose yards.
