2025 McKinney CB Zadian Gentry will make summer stop at USC

USC is building a little Dallas-Fort Worth area home in McKinney, Texas, recruiting a number of McKinney High’s top prospects. The Trojans hold a commitment from 2024 running back Bryan Jackson and have offers out to 2024 five-star safety Xavier Filsaime and 2025 linebacker Riley Pettijohn.

There is another defender at McKinney however that might work himself into that list this summer.

McKinney standout 2025 cornerback Zadian Gentry is a prospect picking up steam on the recruiting trail. And Gentry tells me he and On3’s Sam Spiegelman that he will be making a summer trip to the west coast and will be making a stop at USC on June 10.

Gentry is the No. 276 overall prospect and No. 26 cornerback in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 47 player in Texas.

He will also be stopping at Oregon, Washington, UCLA, and some other power five programs in the region.

To date, Gentry holds 22 offers from SMU, TCU, Oklahoma, Arkansas, UNLV, Purdue, North Texas, Baylor, Texas Tech, Auburn, Missouri, Nebraska, Duke, Washington, Kansas, Arizona State, Ole Miss, Tulsa, Texas State, Washington State, Boston College, and Liberty.

Recruiting Prediction Machine for Gentry

According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, SMU currently holds a lead at 36.8% to land a commitment from Gentry. TCU and Oklahoma trail behind.

It factors in machine learning, social sentiment, visits and historical trends. However, expert predictions are still a big piece of the RPM equation.

Gentry has an On3 NIL Valuation of $34K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
