Ole Miss has signed three big-time prospects in the secondary via the portal. Could Jadon Canady be next?
He could be in the same class as DeShawn Gaddie, John Saunders, DaiJahn Anthony and Zamari Walton. New cornerbacks coach Keynodo Hudson now has a core of four experienced, long and athletic corners to get started with in 2023. Markevious Brown, Miles Battles, Davison Igbinosun and Braxton Myers have all opted for the portal. But the Rebels now have four defensive backs from the portal who have played a combined 116(!) games.

Jadon Canady is a talented prospect who would bring a lot of experience and elite speed to a back end which will be tested in 2023.
ESPN ranked the toughest Power 5 schedules for the fall and the Rebels are in the top spot.
“The Rebels have two decent non-conference matchups with Mercer to open their schedule and then UL Monroe in the second to last week. However, nothing else in between is a cakewalk. It starts with a game at Tulane, who went 12-2 last season, and a matchup at home Georgia Tech. From there, they’ll get their usual SEC West slate while also hosting Vanderbilt and having to go to Athens to play Georgia.”
