Tennessee linebacker Aaron Beasley takes part in the third episode of ‘The Replay,’ which is a collaborative series between Aspyre Media Group, Spyre Sports Group and Volquest where some of the most famous plays or performances in Tennessee athletics history are broken down in a film room setting.
The second-layer player of the defense had his best game in a Tennessee uniform during the Vols’ 31-14 victory over Clemson in the Orange Bowl this past season. Beasley led the defense with 12 stops, four tackles for loss and two sacks. He was a part of a group that held the Clemson offense to just one touchdown on the day.
In the production above, Aaron Beasley joins Eric Cain to breakdown his two sacks, a key fourth down stop and a fake field goal stop as all three plays were critical in the win for the Volunteers.
Beasley finished the 2022 campaign as the leading tackle for the Vols, combining for 64 tackles in 13 games. He tallied 14 tackles in week two at Pittsburgh and followed that performance up with a nine-tackle effort against LSU two weeks later.
The former Heard County standout from Franklin, Ga. was a part of Tennessee’s 2019 recruiting class and spent time at safety and running back before finding a home on the defensive side of the football at linebacker.
He’s the expected leader of the defense for Tennessee in 2023.
