Could big UGA recruiting weekend net a commitment sooner rather than later?

Could big UGA recruiting weekend net a commitment sooner rather than later?

Finishing up some notes from this big UGA recruiting weekend and I wanted to touch on some things that I have been getting a lot of questions about.

First off, I continue to hear more and even more that Ryan Puglisi is strong to UGA. You can imagine how many schools are reaching out to him, but I am told he let some Georgia commits and staff know this weekend that he intends to stay with Georgia and compete for this job. That says a ton about him… A TON

Colton Heinrich, 2024 TE from Florida is another player I am comfortable in saying UGA made a big move with this past weekend. I told you a few weeks ago not to worry about his ranking. He is higher on the board in Athens than his ranking. Todd Hartley could have another piece of his room in sooner than later.

Another major UGA TE 2024 target, Jaden Reddell, was in town this weekend and he will be back for his official visit on June 9th. I still think Tennessee is the biggest competition here for him and he takes that official on June 23rd weekend. Hard to go against Todd Hartley. He wins a lot of battles, so we will continue to monitor this one. I would go UGA here on a slight lead at this point.

June is fast approaching and going back through the notes from last year, Clemson really pushed on the kids that visited the first weekend to verbally commit and shut it down. It worked with a lot of players including Vic Burley and the defensive lineman from Rome.  They have 17 kids scheduled that first weekend including major UGA targets KJ Bolden, Eddrick Houston, Mike Matthews, Cam Coleman, Casey Poe and Sammy Brown among others. It will be interesting to see if they can or will have success that again this year.

Brown, Matthews, KJ and Houston are set to officially visit UGA on the 9th, the week after those Clemson visits. Ryan Puglisi will be in town that weekend with his family for his OV as well.

BUCKLE UP…
