Bubba Wallace appears to flip off camera during post-race interview

Bubba Wallace appears to flip off camera during post-race interview

After a P2 finish in the NASCAR All-Star Race, Bubba Wallace thought he slyly got away with flipping the bird but the FS1 cameras caught it all. After Kyle Larson sped around to a very convincing win, Wallace appeared to have an issue with the camera crew or someone off-camera as he prepared for his postrace comments.

It didn’t appear that Bubba Wallace was angry with anyone on the track. He didn’t get into anyone and there wasn’t an issue on camera. He looked tired and ready to be done with the night. Then he very obviously stuck out his middle finger as he unhooked his firesuit collar.

Whatever his reason for doing it, those FS1 cameras caught him in the act. This race overall was good for Bubba Wallace and 23XI Racing. With it being the All-Star Race though, there is only one prize and if you don’t win, you walk away empty-handed. That’s just the reality of it.

Technically, if you want to look on the bright side, this is his third top-5 finish in a row.

Bubba Wallace didn’t car about the boos

According to Bubba Wallace on his own Twitter, he was “proud” of his team. He was also clearly a little disappointed that he came home P2 and wasn’t able to get another shot at Kyle Larson as the 5 car sped off to a win.

However, before the race, Wallace was faced with a wall of boos from the crowd. He didn’t waver, he’s used to it by now. Instead, the driver welcomed it and even taunted the fans back a little bit with a crybaby move on stage.

Tyler Reddick finished P3 behind Bubba Wallace tonight at North Wilkesboro. The two drivers are hoping that their Toyotas remain fast. Charlotte is another beast and the Coca-Cola 600 is a war of attrition. This isn’t a track that he’s strong at, but Wallace has shown improvement across the board this season.

Let’s not forget that Wallace has moved into playoff contention. He is 15th in the points standing and is looking to add to that as the season moves on. If he keeps running in the top-10 and top-5, then that will continue to improve for the Toyota driver.

After some strong finishes in the last month, it will be interesting to see if Wallace can cap it off with a win in the coming weeks.
