OMAHA, Neb. – Tennessee is back in the College World Series and take on Florida State in then opener on Friday night. The contest is slated to begin at 7 o’clock eastern time from Charles Schwab Field and the televised coverage will be on ESPN.

Earlier today, it was the Tar Heels defeating the Cavaliers 3-2 to open play in the 2024 College World Series. Saturday is an OFF day, and if the Vols were to win on Sunday, Monday would be an OFF day as well.

The Vols have dropped their first game in Omaha each of the last four tries. An 11-3 win over Clemson in 1995 was the last opening win for the Vols in CWS play.
