5-star OT Michael Fasusi has an “amazing” official visit to Texas A&M

Michael Fasusi has gotten close to Mike Elko and the staff at Texas A&M over the last couple of months. The five-star offensive tackle out of Lewisville (Texas) visited College Station three times in the spring and he was on campus this weekend for his official visit.

The Aggies are pushing all the right buttons for the No. 12 prospect in the On3 Industry Ranking.

“Texas A&M is pushing for that No. 1 spot on my list,” Fasusi told On3. “Their message to me is that A&M is the best choice for me and they aren’t backing down from that. The coaches made me feel comfortable, me, my mom and dad had great conversations with the coaches and they are moving all the way up my list.

“I like everything they have to offer. It is great with football and academics. Everything we saw was great. This visit was amazing.”

Fasusi was at Missouri last weekend and he has official visits to Oklahoma, Oregon and Texas before he makes his decision. Texas A&M only helped itself this weekend.

“It is just a family there. Everyone is connected at A&M. The coaches, the players, the commits are all a big family. That really stands out to me. It is all love there and I am starting to buy into that. I feel comfortable there and there is nothing holding A&M back with me.”

Fasusi has high praise for Elko and Cushing

“Coach Elko is a great coach, but an even greater person,” Fasusi said. “He is about nothing but facts. Coach Elko tells me and my family what we need to hear, not what we want to here. He is just a great guy that I believe in and I am down with the Elko era at A&M. I believe he is going to do great things.”

Adam Cushing is Fasusi’s lead recruiter and the two have a strong bond.

“I can almost finish what coach Cushing is going to say before he tells me now. We have spent a lot of time together, I know him so well and I love how passionate he is. He is about learning, teaching and making me the best I can be if I go there. Coach Cushing is always teaching me technique and I love his track record. Our relationship is strong.”
