Although additional official visits to Alabama and Georgia are a possibility, On300 linebacker Myles Graham says he is all in with the University of Florida.
The Atlanta (Ga.) Woodward Academy standout joined forces with the Gators last August and has not looked back since making that decision. He is also a legacy recruit, as his father is former UF running back Earnest Graham. Billy Napier’s program is the total package for the Under Armour All-American.
According to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies, Graham is the No. 50 prospect overall and No. 5 linebacker in the 2024 class. He is labeled the seventh-ranked junior in talent-loaded Georgia as well.
“I’m completely locked in with Florida 100 percent,” Graham told On3’s Joseph Hastings. “It’s just my relationship is there, I’m a legacy, and I want to come in and play my freshman year. I want to do what I do best and bring back what Florida used to be.”
With plenty of former high-profile recruits in the fold, the Gators are doing their job on the recruiting trail. Now, it’s about getting some of those guys experience and producing the results needed.
As for Graham, the recruiting pitch from inside linebackers coach Jay Bateman has been simple. The Gators envision him playing early and becoming a household name during their quest back to the top.
“I’m going to be one of the building blocks,” Graham said of UF’s message. “I’m going to be one of the cornerstones to bring Florida back to a national championship. That keeps me motivated.
“Coach Bateman, he’s like another father figure to me. I got crazy love for coach Bateman. Even if he went somewhere else, I will always support him and keep in contact with him.”
Another trip to Alachua County is on the horizon
The only visit Graham currently has scheduled is his official visit with the Gators. That return trip to the Swamp is on the calendar for June 9-11.
It’s rare when committed prospects don’t take additional visits, but even if Graham sees other campuses, I would not be too worried if I was a Florida fan. That commitment to the Gators remains rock solid.
“Florida has always been my home since I was a kid. I’ve always been going to the games and it’s always been my second home. I’ve been there a million times and I’m going to keep going there forever. It’s just in my blood,” said Graham.
On3 Biography of Myles Graham
After tallying 130 tackles as a sophomore at Fort Myers (Florida) Evangelical Christian School, Myles Graham made the move as a junior to Woodward Academy in Atlanta.
Graham is the son of former Florida running back Earnest Graham, who had a lengthy career in the NFL after his time with the Gators.
“I’ve learned a lot from my father,” Graham said. “He’s taught me everything – from how to manage the recruiting process to what the expectations are like to be a player at a top college program and how to achieve my dream of playing in the NFL.”
Like his father, Graham plays running back and even gets used in Wildcat situations for Woodward, but schools covet him on the defensive side of the ball.
Graham started playing varsity football in the 8th grade. Through the first four years of varsity football, he racked up 242 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, five sacks and one interception. His numbers as a junior were good enough for all-district and all-state honors. On offense, he’s tallied more than 1,867 total yards and 20 touchdowns.
