Top-5 NASCAR Paint Schemes: All-Star Race at North Wilkesboro

Top-5 NASCAR Paint Schemes: All-Star Race at North Wilkesboro

The NASCAR All-Star Race at North Wilkesboro – this is the Field of Dreams moment for stock car racing and the paint schemes are great! When you revive a sports venue like this, you have to look the part. A lot of NASCAR teams brought their best to the track this weekend.

It stinks that Throwback Weekend was just a week ago. However, that isn’t stopping teams from putting up great designs and even some throwback schemes for this week! NASCAR is back at one of its most historic tracks and it couldn’t be cooler for the All-Star Race.

This was all made possible by the enthusiasm of North Wilkesboro, the passion of drivers like Dale Earnhardt Jr., and a lot of fans who wanted to see this revival happen. The old pavement is still there on the racing surface, but we’ve got all new, Next-Gen cars going around the 5/8th-mile track.

While this isn’t a points-paying race, there is a lot of money up for grabs. The $1,000,000 grand prize for winning is a big payday for anyone. Even these Cup Series guys are dying to get their hands on that big check. What are the chances we see one of these paint schemes in Victory Lane?

A lot of teams have night-race schemes this season, Bubba Wallace’s Columbia Sportswear scheme for this night race is just too good. It has a throwback feel with the colors, but it is all new.

Of course, we couldn’t talk about the best paint schemes at North Wilkesboro and not talk about The Closer. Kevin Harvick has had the best schemes all season long. In fact, he could have made the list for all of the past four or five races.

But Harvick back in the 29? That’s something you can’t miss out on, especially the retro Busch Light design to match his firesuit.

Although Richard Petty is just an ambassador for the team now, LEGACY Motor Club knows a thing or two about honoring The King. They still pay homage every time they can. STP is back on board with the No. 43 car. This scheme is classic and the black roof makes it even better.

That Petty Blue will never get old.

Then we have another little throwback scheme. Michael McDowell and Front Row Motorsports really put together a great throwback look this week. Honoring Mark Martin, the No. 34 looks just like the old Folgers Ford.

While it is Fr8Auctions on the side, not Folgers, it looks pretty much just like the original. If you just squint a little to blur the sponsor, it is believable.

Now this one looks a little like a previous scheme this year. However, the white hood makes this one a classic, in my opinion. Along with Kroger, Coca-Cola is sponsoring Ricky Stenhouse Jr. once again this week.

When you talk about good versus great schemes, it is almost always about the little details. The white lettering with the white roof and red number on top – perfection. This is diecast-worthy, to be honest.

One million dollars is on the line in the @NASCAR All-Star Race @nwspeedway this Sunday!

So, what do you think? Are any of these North Wilkesboro paint schemes worth $1,000,000?
