Gators official visit starts for legacy DB target Ben Hanks Jr.

For the first time in nearly a year, Miami Booker T. Washington cornerback Ben Hanks Jr. is back in Gainesville to visit the Florida Gators.

It was on Friday evening when the 4-star legacy target started his official visit with the program.

Alongside him this weekend at the Swamp are his parents and sister.

Florida’s Need: When watching the film, there are not many cornerbacks better this cycle than Hanks. He can be a true lockdown cornerback at the next level, and given his ties to the program, his services are even more coveted for secondary coach Will Harris. The Gators currently don’t have a DB committed.
Recruitment 411: In recent weeks, Hanks told me the Gators don’t have to knock it out of the park this weekend to be a real contender. I still like where Miami sits most, but Hanks is excited to get more familiar with the program and loves what he’s hearing from Will Harris. Following in his father’s footsteps is something Ben Hanks thinks about as well, so this is a big visit for both parties.
