RPM pick in favor of UT for one of the best 2026 offensive players in Texas

Texas running backs coach Tashard Choice has had a lot of success dating back to the 2023 cycle with CJ Baxter and Tre Wisner. That continued in the 2024 class with Jerrick Gibson and Christian Clark and has progressed in the 2025 class with James Simon and Rickey Stewart Jr. It looks like Choice will keep on winning in the 2026 class.

2026 Texarkana (Texas) Texas High running back Tradarian Ball has long been one of Choice’s top targets, even with Aledo (Texas) running back Raycine Guillory already in the boat.

Ball, a 5-foot-10.5, 200-pound four-star, is no stranger to the Forty Acres. He’s been on campus close to a dozen times, and his recent trip for Texas’ Elite Camp was a little different.

“What stood out this time was that I was able to showcase my skills and abilities around Coach Choice and all the Texas coaching staff,” Ball told Inside Texas. “Really loved competing here.”

Because of Ball’s affinity for the Longhorns and other recent intel, I’m putting an On3 RPM pick with 60 percent confidence for Ball to commit Texas.

This joins a prediction from Justin Wells, who also put in a RPM for Ball to end up at UT with 60 percent confidence in November of 2023.

Ball rushed 166 times for 1225 yards and 12 touchdowns for Texas High last season. He also added one passing touchdown and six receiving scores. In 2022 as a freshman, Ball rushed 128 times for 739 yards and 11 touchdowns with two receiving touchdowns and another passing score.

Ball is ranked as the No. 55 overall prospect, the No. 5 running back, and the No. 5 player in Texas according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a proprietary algorithm that compiles ratings and rankings from all four primary recruiting media services. On3 ranks Ballas the No. 75 overall prospect, the No. 7 running back, and the No. 8 player in Texas.
