Look: Notre Dame football recruiting commits and targets arrive for June 7-9 official visits

The Notre Dame football program kicked off this month’s official visits by welcoming 13 recruits to campus Friday morning. All Fighting Irish 2025 class commits and targets expected to be in attendance made it to South Bend for an exciting weekend of festivities that lasts until Sunday.

Blue & Gold watched those prospects arrive at Guglielmino Athletics Complex for their one allotted Notre Dame official visit.

Top 100 four-star linebackers Madden Faraimo and Nathaniel Owusu-Boateng were the most notable names. The Irish hope to add the pair of uncommitted targets to a recruiting class that already contains Philadelphia St. Joseph’s Prep four-star Anthony Sacca and Honolulu Punahou three-star Ko’o Kia, two 2025 linebackers who are also on campus for their OVs.

Although the Irish also have two 2025 safety commits — Ethan Long and Ivan Taylor — they still recruit On300 cornerback Jahmir Joseph. Notre Dame now targets the four-star prospect from the Northeast as a safety. Friday was his first time on campus.

The Irish also welcomed Cincinnati St. Xavier three-star defensive tackle Gordy Sulfsted, who revealed a surprise Notre Dame declaration last month, to campus for the first time since his announcement. He is the son of Alex Sulfsted, who played offensive line for about three NFL seasons.

Another NFL legacy recruit is tight end James Flanigan. He is one of two offensive recruits officially visiting Notre Dame this weekend. The other offensive prospect is Bryant (Ark.) High running back Daniel Anderson. Flanigan, the son of former Irish and NFL defensive lineman Jim Flanigan, and Anderson committed to Notre Dame last football season.

Notre Dame D-line commits Dominik Hulak and Joseph Reiff from Elmhurst, Ill., are also back in town after competing in last Sunday’s Irish Invasion. York Community’s Reiff, a four-star, and IC Catholic Prep’s Hulak, a three-star, were standout performers last weekend.

The second group of Notre Dame official visitors arrives on Tuesday. Finally, the third and final group will get to South Bend next Friday. Blue & Gold has intel on who will be on campus next week on The Lou Somogyi Board.
