On3 RPM: How Michigan is trending with expected official visitors this weekend
June official visits for Michigan are in full swing, and this weekend, five targets in the 2025 recruiting class are expected to be in Ann Arbor.
The Wolverine examines where U-M stands with the visitors, according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM), the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college.
Top 100 EDGE Mariyon Dye, Elkhart (Ind.) High
On3 Ranking: No. 40 Overall, No. 5 EDGE, No. 1 in Indiana
RPM: Ohio State (92.3%), Michigan (2.1%), Tennessee (1.5%)
Past U-M Visits: 4/9/24, 11/4/23
Mariyon Dye included Michigan in his Top 8 list released last month but had yet to schedule a second offseason visit to campus prior to this week. It appeared that the Wolverines were on the outside looking in. However, new defensive line coach Lou Esposito pushed heavily to get Dye to Ann Arbor again after the junior got another detailed look at the facilities in early April. At 6-foot-4.75, 268 pounds, Dye has a bigger-bodied frame with more room to grow that could mirror Mike Morris. He’s relentless when rushing the outside and has accumulated eye-opening muscle mass this offseason. Dye was first at U-M in November of last year for the night game against Purdue, where he notched an offer.
Top 100 OL SJ Alofaituli, Las Vegas (Nev.) Bishop Gorman

SJ Alofaituli has held a Michigan offer for over two years and first took in The Big House atmosphere this past November for the Ohio State game. His official visit will follow trips to Ann Arbor made by two of his Bishop Gorman teammates, Top 100 wide receiver Derek Meadows and Top 100 offensive lineman Douglas Utu, this past weekend. Head coach Sherrone Moore and new offensive Grant Newsome have been in close contact with Alofaituli, who’s projected to remain an interior type at the next level. Yielding a strong front punch and impressive lower body strength, Alofaituli has been fond of U-M’s offensive line development in recent history, leading to two Joe Moore Awards in the past three seasons. Incoming freshman running back Micah Ka’apana, who graduated from Bishop Gorman, will surely be a primary figure on Alofaituli’s official visit, much like he did a few days ago.
Top 100 RB Jordon Davison, Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei
Industry Ranking: No. 91 Overall, No. 5 Running Back, No. 8 in California
RPM: Ohio State (81.3%), Texas (10.7%), USC (1.8%), Michigan (1.1%)

Jordon Davison is familiar with Michigan because of three prior visits, with the first dating back to his freshman year. The coaching turnover earlier in the offseason saw one of the college coaches closest to Davison, new running backs coach Tony Alford, leave for Ann Arbor following nine years at Ohio State. Shortly after Alford was officially announced on staff, Davison and his loved ones returned to Schembechler Hall during spring camp. The Buckeyes are the heavy favorite for Davison, per the RPM, while Oregon and Alabama are making mirrored pushes. But Alford has brought the Wolverines into the picture considerably, and so has the appeal of playing for a program that prides itself on running the ball.

RPM: Georgia (31.9%), Ole Miss (18.7%), Michigan (12.1%), Texas A&M (10.1%)

Julius Holly is a newer target on Michigan’s 2025 EDGE board as the reigning College Football Playoff winners issued an offer last month during the spring evaluation period. This weekend will be Holly’s first-ever appearance in Ann Arbor, which is different from his other leading contenders, like RPM leader Georgia, which has hosted the in-stater three times. The Bulldogs are expected to host Holly again on June 14-16, followed by Ole Miss (June 18-20) and Texas A&M (June 21-23). Holly recently told On3’s Chad Simmons that a commitment is being planned for no later than August, so knocking it out of the park on the official visit this weekend will be the objective for the Wolverines.

Jaylen Williams has been trending towards committing to Michigan, based on multiple On3 Predictions, for several months. The Wolverines were first considered the leader following Williams’ return trip to watch the team take down Ohio State. But U-M replacing two defensive line coaches, including Mike Elston, this offseason has put other offered schools in the mix, with Nebraska getting an official visit on June 21-23. Still, Esposito, who has longstanding recruiting ties in the Windy City, has established a connection with Williams since his late March hire and put U-M back into the spotlight. Williams is also close friends with Top 100 EDGE commit Nate Marshall, a fellow Chicagoland native.
