2027 LB Javier Moore Adds Kentucky Offer: ‘A Dream Come True’

Javier Moore was waiting for that first offer to come in. When he learned from his coach that Kentucky had extended one, he was elated.

“It’s a dream come true,” Moore told KSR+. “Man, I was very excited. I was so thankful and blessed to achieve that, especially in my position.”

The 6-foot, 200-pound linebacker from McKinley (Canton, OH) is still learning about the UK program. The entire recruiting process is new to him.

“I don’t really know much,” he said. “I’m just getting into this. Everything is really new to me. I’m just starting and I’ve got a long way to go.”

Moore plays running back and linebacker at the high school level, but is being recruited at the linebacker spot in college. He believes he’d fit in well with the Kentucky defense.

Moore’s high school teammate, Logan Hayes, also added an offer from Kentucky. Moore said he’s looking to visit at some point.

“[I’d be looking at] the coaches and how they interact with players,” he said.

His Wider Recruitment

Javier Moore’s nickname among his high school teammates and coaches is “Beast.” Although he only turned 15 recently, he played up last season with the varsity team, and college coaches are very interested. Schools including Rutgers, Ole Miss, Ohio State, Indiana, Illinois, and Marshall have all stopped by to see what he can do. However, coaches aren’t able to contact him yet.

Still, Moore is looking to take some visits. Those include Ohio State, Florida, Pitt, and “of course Kentucky.”

“I want to see everything they have to offer,” he said.

2027 linebacker Javier Moore of McKinley (TX) has a long list of traits that make him a Division 1 prospect, including his work ethic, drive, athleticism, and vision. However, he’s still working to improve in several facets.

“I’d like to improve at staying in the moment, being a better leader for the people around me, my teammates, and my coaches, and being able to expand my horizon,” he said.

Moore sees himself fitting into any type of system. The scheme doesn’t concern him.
