Four-star OL Zaden Krempin talks his recent Miami offer: “I was just kind of shocked”
This past weekend, Miami assistant offensive line coach Reggie Bain made the journey to Texas and offered 2026 Prosper (Tex.) offensive lineman Zaden Krempin, who is one of the top offensive linemen in the Lone Star State.
After watching the rising sophomore at SMU’s prospect camp, Bain quickly offered Krempin, who was happily surprised to earn an offer from the Hurricanes.
“I didn’t know Miami would be there, so I thought it was pretty cool,” Krempin said. “I was just kind of shocked.”
Although the 6-foot-5, 255-pounder is not too familiar with Miami’s program, Krempin is intrigued by the offer and is looking to make his way to Coral Gables to get a closer look at the Hurricanes and what they’re all about after speaking with Bain and offensive line coach Alex Mirabal.
“It was a great interaction, and he (Bain) was a real cool guy,” Krempin said. “I also got to talk to the offensive line coach from Miami, who was a real cool guy.”
Later this fall, Krempin, who is the No. 145 overall prospect in the 2026 class according to the On3 Industry Ranking, hopes to take a game day visit to Miami.
“I don’t really know a lot about them, but me and my parents talked about how nice Miami is and the college itself,” Krempin explained. “If I headed down there, I would really like it. I’m hoping maybe next fall to go to a game to see what it’s really about.”
Along with the Hurricanes, programs such as Oregon, Ole Miss, Michigan, Baylor, Texas A&M, SMU, Florida State and Oklahoma have offered Krempin, who is nearing 40 offers.
“The day hasn’t really happened on June 15th when colleges can start talking to you, but it’s already been crazy,” Krempin said of his recruitment.
When looking into a program, Krempin explained that honesty and transparency are what he values the most.
“When a program stops being honest with me, that’s when I lose interest,” Krempin said. “I want coaches to be honest with me and tell me the truth.”
Along with that, Krempin’s family will play a major role in his eventual commitment, and if the Hurricanes can make them feel welcomed as well, they will better their chances in his recruitment.
“I would say showing that my family could come down there with me,” Krempin said. “My family is planning on coming with me to college, so I want to make sure they’re happy.”
CaneSport’s take
Miami wasted no time in offering Krempin after watching him live in Texas. With over 20 offers from Power Four programs, Krempin has established himself as one of the best offensive linemen in the 2026 cycle, and the Hurricanes will be facing some stiff competition for the rising prospect.
