This six-run victory ended a 20-game winning streak, the longest such run in history, for Oklahoma in the Women’s College World Series. The Sooners hadn’t lost a contest on this stage since UCLA defeated them at 7-3 in the semifinals in 2022. They’d still go on to win their second consecutive national title, though, before going undefeated in the tournament en route to a three-peat last year.
