Ohio State impresses Alabama RB commit Anthony Rogers
Montgomery (Ala.) Carver On300 running back Anthony Rogers, an Alabama commit, visited Ohio State this week and is excited about his opportunity to potentially play for the Big Ten powerhouse.
“It was good visit,” Rogers said. “I like how the program is ran.
“I like how everyone is connected and focused on developing the players and helping them get to the next level.”
Auburn and Georgia are a couple other schools the four-star Rogers is keeping warm. He sees tremendous potential for himself in Columbus.
“They wanted me to keep in mind there is an opportunity for playing time with (TreVeyon) Henderson and (Quinshon) Judkins leaving for the Draft next year.
“That caught my attention.”
Head coach Ryan Day and running backs coach Carlos Locklyn also made an impression.
“They both seem like great coaches and they’re dedicated on bettering the team and themselves,” Rogers said.
The On3 Industry ranks Rogers as the nation’s No. 6 running back and No. 124 prospect overall. Day and the Buckeyes are working on On3’s No. 1 ranked recruiting class.
