Priority WR target has arrived at Georgia for official visit

A source has confirmed that Atlanta (Ga.) Westlake four-star wide receiver Travis Smith has arrived in Athens for his official visit to Georgia on Friday afternoon.

The Bulldogs are getting the first official visit from the No. 59 overall prospect in the 2025 On3 Rankings. The Bulldogs have been a heavy contender for Smith for some time now.

On3’s Recruiting Prediction Machine has the Bulldogs out front at the moment. RPM gives Georgia a 93.7 percent chance of landing the four-star wideout.

Smith has a top four of Auburn, Alabama, Georgia and Tennessee. The four-star wideout will announce his commitment on July 13.

Smith has Georgia and Tennessee slightly ahead of the other two going into his official visits.

“The leading two right now, Georgia and Tennessee, they’re really pushing hard,” Smith said to On3’s Chad Simmons at On3’s Elite Series event in Nashville earlier this week. “They’re really at a standstill with each other. But ‘Bama and Auburn, they really have a lot to show upcoming with these official visits.”

In previous visit to Athens, Smith has been impressed by Georgia’s development plan.

“The film I got to see with guys transitioning from there to the NFL was amazing,” Smith said on Jan. 14. “The same stuff that they do in the league is what they’re implementing at Georgia. The players were able to translate what they were doing in practice, in the game to guys doing it in the league. It was the same exact guys being able to execute it in the league. I never looked at it from that perspective. Seeing that, was a great takeaway from yesterday.”
