Florida Gators are in a ‘very good spot’ for coveted OL Jordan Seaton

Florida Gators are in a ‘very good spot’ for coveted OL Jordan Seaton

BRADENTON, FL. — After making his first appearance in Gainesville in late March, IMG Academy offensive lineman Jordan Seaton says Florida is now a top contender in his recruitment.

“Florida on my list right now, they are in a very good spot right now. I’m not going to say they are too high, too low, but they are in a good spot right now,” Seaton told Gators Online.

“If they keep doing what they are doing, who knows? They might leave with Jordan Seaton a Gator.”

It’s also worth noting the Gators are Seaton’s most recent offer after pulling the trigger in January. Those relationships are fairly new, but there is no doubt UF is pushing all the right buttons. And with Seaton now residing in the Sunshine State, the Gators need to be monitored even more.

“What makes them a school on the rise for me is how they tell me I’m a priority,” said Seaton. “Billy Napier and coach (Rob) Sale repetitively push the narrative that I am a top priority and can come in and really play as a young guy. That means a lot to me because a lot schools don’t play young guys. Having them being able to trust in me like that means a lot.”

According to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies, the 6-foot-5, 295-pound Seaton is the No. 5 offensive tackle and No. 57 player overall. He is also a top-10 junior in the Sunshine State.

The Gators boast a similar projection for the four-star prospect but covet his positional versatility as well.

“All of my offers are for tackle, but I can play inside,” Seaton said. “They say value is everything, so if I can do more than one thing, the more valuable I am.”

Two programs are on the official visit radar of Jordan Seaton

Although no dates are scheduled, the Washington D.C. native knows of two official visit destinations. Both programs strap up the pads in the SEC.

Additional notable offers include Alabama, Ohio State, Georgia, USC, Clemson, Oregon, Texas A&M, Michigan, Tennessee and Auburn. All in all, nearly 50 programs have taken that step with Seaton.

“Expect one to Florida. I haven’t set one up, but expect one,” Seaton said of official visits. “I think Alabama is in the works right now, but it hasn’t been set officially. You can expect Alabama too though.”

According to On3’s Recruiting Prediction Machine, Ohio State is trending with odds of 88.8 percent. Back in March, Lettermen Row’s Matt Parker submitted a prediction for the Buckeyes as well.
