Pennsylvania, Florida, Michigan, Texas among recruiting stops this week for Purdue football

The pursuit of talent continues for the Purdue football staff this week.

Coaches are out seeing 2026 prospects and some 2025’s. But, know this: The Boilermaker assistants already have seen their top priority recruits this spring.

This is the last week assistants can be on the road recruiting during this current “contact period,” which ends May 25. From May 26-29, it is a “dead period.”

May 30-June 23 is a “quiet period,” when recruits can visit campuses but can’t be recruited off of campuses. Camps will be going on during that time. Purdue will have four one-day camps: June 1, 2, 5, 19.

A look at who’s where this week:

• Cornerbacks coach Sam Carter is in Florida today through Thursday.

• Defensive coordinator/linebackers coach Kevin Kane is in Philadelphia today and offered 2025 EDGE Chris Fileppo, who is a James Madison commit.

• Offensive line coach Marcus Johnson and tight ends coach Justin Sinz are in Chicago today. Johnson will be in North Carolina tomorrow. Sinz will be in Muskegon, Mich., tomorrow checking on 2025 OT N’Kye Wynn and 2025 OT Jim Harris.

• Defensive line coach Brick Haley is in Houston today and Austin tomorrow checking on 2025 EDGE Daeshon Morgan of Vandegrift High in Austin.

• Receivers coach Cory Patterson is in Knoxville, Tenn., today checking on 2026’s.

• Running backs coach Lamar Conard is in Michigan tomorrow checking on 2026’s.
