Four-star CB Shavar Young has great return visit to Oregon
Knoxville (Tenn.) Webb School On300 2026 cornerback Shavar Young was part of a star-studded recruiting weekend at Oregon.
Head coach Dan Lanning and his staff played host to Young and many others for the Ducks on the Hunt 2024 event.
“This weekend has been amazing!” Young said. “The environment was super electric! It was elite!”
The four-star Young was also in Eugene back in February and continues to rave about the place.
“The coaching staff and what they are building is special! I got to spend the whole weekend here.”
Young highlighted “the connection I made with the coaches!” as one of the biggest things that stood out.
That wasn’t the only thing.
“The difference is Coach Lanning being a defensive guy and the opportunities after football,” Young added.
Young is looking forward to visiting Clemson and Tennessee in the near future.
The On3 Industry tabs Young as the nation’s No. 19 cornerback and No. 215 prospect overall. On3 slots him at No. 9 and No. 116 respectively.
